HEY MISTER

Hey mister can you tell me

What I need to know

They said you'd understand

My mama's home and cryin'

My daddy's drunk and dyin'

Ah, help me religion man

CHORUS

Go tell your God in Heaven

The Devil's king down here

War, crimes and little children

Screamin' in my ear

See them as they're cryin'

Hey mister can't you hear me

Listen to what I say

They said you'd understand

My mama's home and cryin'

My daddy's drunk and dyin'

Oh, help me religion man

IF ONLY YOU COULD SEE ME NOW

You'd make it up to me somehow

If only you could see me now

You were always blind

to your own mistakes

You had your chance

but babe you lost your piece of cake

It's so clear to see

That you'd get weak in the knees

yeah

CHORUS

When I first took you in

off of the streets

I had no idea

you'd be that hard to keep

Although you've had your fun

In the end it's I who've won

CHORUS

Good time woman

thinks she's cool

With thigh boots

that make fools drool

Late hour lady, do what you do

and some day it'll get back to you

CHORUS

For fourteen rotten months

I was scorched and burned

But the whole town knows

that the tables are turned

It's so clear to see

That you'd get weak in the knees

yeah

UNIVERSE

I’m drifting along

on the clouds of the universe

Not knowing where to hide

Searching out wonders of the human race

Trying my best not to cry

I’m leaving all the spoils far behind

Startin’ out new on my own

Breakin’ through forests that are

Deep and wide

Workin’ till I build me a home

CHORUS

Can you tell me what I need to know

To get myself by

Castin’ shadows in the moonlight sight

Catchin’ the thoughts of the wind

Wisdom tossed upon a cloudy sky

Hidden sadness causes sin

CHORUS

I’m drifting along

on the clouds of the universe

Now I’ve found my way

Searching out wonders

of this time and place

Watchin’ the end of the day

TOOK IT AWAY

Took it away

All the love that we had

But you know it's not the same

Took it today

Now you're feeling so bad

But you've got yourself to blame

What you give is what you get

And what you've done

You'll soon regret

Hurt me so bad

I've never been treated this way

What makes you want me so much now

The feeling I had is not with me today

You'd only hurt me anyhow

CHORUS

REPEAT FIRST VERSE

CHORUS

THE WAR IS OVER

Now that the war is over

I won't see you anymore

The fighting's over and done with

from off the distant shore

I needed you so badly

But now you're gone and sadly

I just cry anymore

You're dead, that's why I'm dying

I could have loved you so

Oh, I'm all mixed up

From here where can I go

You're gone

but I still dream the same

And now I feel

that I'm to blame somehow

I don't know

And I wish that I could find my way

back home

And now that the war is over

I can't see you anymore

Once I loved you

loved you before

I want you to be near me

Oh God, please let hear me

let her stay

And I wish that she is there

when I go home

LINDA

Can you see by the wayside

that I’ve waited all these years

Can you realize

that my love doesn’t die

Countless grains of memories past all seem strange to me

Images and names untold

streak across my mind

Seasons changing all the time

CHORUS

How can I love her, how can I be true

How can I love her, how can I be true

Darkness, starlight moonlight bright, reflected in your eyes

Hold you in my arms and I feel whole

Singly we’re a part of one

together we can hide

Midst the swirling leaves and crying trees

Bend across the skies

revealing what lies behind

CHORUS

00:00 / 05:33

NEW FOUND RAIN

Raindrops fallin’

past your window pane

Times long ago

Oh, they're not the same

Memories they echo but all in vain

Morals set and all the rest insane

CHORUS

Caught up in a new found rain

New found feelings not the same

Starlight breakin’ through those misty clouds

Tired shadows all yawning loud

Sleep falls quickly with a subtle bow

Moon mist silently relieves the brow

Chorus

Sunshine gathers in the bright blue sky

Birds wake-up and take to fly

Crystalline dew from the night before

Can we live against one more

AND YOU KNOW

Such a sunny day

in this month of May

Sunbeams gathered all around

You tip-toe barefoot

down the oaken lane

Hearing only natures sounds

And you know, oh yes you know

That its great, to be alive

Bumble bees buzzin’

through the soft sweet breeze

Learning life has just begun

You smell the fresh air

in this new born Spring

Green is blooming in the sun

CHORUS

Such a sad day in this month of May

Smoke is gathered all around

You stumble, cut foot

down the coke can lane

Hearing only man-made sounds

And you know
